Cantabile is a treble ensemble for 10th - 12th grade girls at Oregon High School. Emphasis is on music literacy (sight singing and music theory) and vocal techniques. The choir sings music from many genres/styles of music: Renaissance, Classical, Romantic, Folk, Spirituals, and Contemporary Pop music are some of the diverse styles in which we study. Cantabile meets everyday for 45 minutes all year long. There are three concert assessments during the school year: December, March and May. Students are eligible to participate in WSMA Solo and Ensemble Festival, and may audition for WSMA State Honors Choir, WCDA All-State Honors Choir, and the bi-annual Badger Conference Honors Choir.
